The reptile fencing is available in both temporary and permanent form and can be installed at either 45º as a unidirectional exclusion barrier or at 90º as a complete barrier. Reptile fencing can be manufactured from 100% recyclable materials, which are re-useable and low maintenance; the unique installation and fixing methodology will ensure that performance is maintained even in the most adverse of ground or weather conditions. It can be purchased as a “supply only” product or a full design, installation and maintenance package can be prepared using our trained operatives. A qualified ecological clerk of works will ensure installation is completed to achieve maximum success with exclusion and durability.
Method
Habitat preferences and distribution of common reptiles vary but in broad terms they can be found in a range of habitats, in both rural and urban locations. Common reptiles are generally less abundant in intensively managed farmland, highly built up settings and in upland areas. The preferred method of installing reptile fencing for optimum results and most efficient and effective fitment is the silting method. Once the reptile fencing material are sited the slit is closed up by driving back along the line of reptile fencing with a tractor, vehicle or even compacted by hand. This in turn helps to create a total seal between the soil and the panels, which are fitted to the side of the trench nearest to the most relevant population or the inside of the containment area if any.
